We believe that everyone needs a regular dose of ADVENTURE to keep life interesting. Through our offerings (trips, classes, ropes courses) we will try to provide you with the type and level of adventure that meets your needs.

Our office is called the Adventure Center. Here we plan the programs and keep a number of resources available for the public to plan their own get-a-ways. Stop in, visit and share your latest adventure with us. Perhaps we can turn you on to something new.

Adventure Programs are open to everyone - students, staff, faculty and community members. Sign ups for all offerings are in the Rec Cen. The number of participants is limited, so register early to insure your space. If you cannot get to the office during business hours, call to make alternate arrangements (893-3738).

We wish to thank the UCSB students in supporting the Rec Sports initiative in Spring 1997. The passing of the initiative allows Adventure Programs to offer reduced rates to registered UCSB students. We trust that these reduced rates will allow more students to take advantage of the trips and classes offered through our program.

Be sure to pick up an information packet when you register for your specific offering. Please be sure to include your daytime phone number when you register. Fees may change as costs change. Offerings can be canceled or itineraries changed due to weather conditions, natural hazards, group ability or inadequate sign ups. (Please note: after the offering is full, you are responsible for selling your spot if you cannot attend. There will be no refunds given after the offering is full. Partial refunds will be considered up to two weeks before the event.)

Persons with outdoor experience who are interested in leading trips or assisting in classes should pick up an application for the Adventure Leadership Program at the Adventure Center. We will add to your experience in our training program so you can share your skills with others.

Come and share the ADVENTURE with us.
